Tillsonburg(a conservative bastion)Denied All Stimulus Funds

DID JOHN BAIRD TELL TILLSONBURG TO
F*$KOFF AS WELL?
The town of Tillsonburg is not happy.
Oxfords’ Conservative MPP and MP are scrambling to find out what went wrong with Tillsonburgs’ application for shovel ready stimulus projects that were all but shut out of the process after all of their applications for funds had been denied by the CONServative government friends of Dave Mackenzie.
Mackenzie has no idea what went wrong,(nothing unusual there) but promises he will get to the bottom of it…I presume before the next election when those dollars will be needed to bolster his flagging support base. Mayor stephen Molnar says his town feels totally “dissappointed” and “let down”.
“We had developed projects that identified both short-term and long-term sustainable employment while building further infrastructure to the benefit of our citizens and surrounding areas.”
Woodstock was fortunate. They were handed millions of your hard earned dollars(well, no longer yours since you were taxed out of them)to spend on silly projects like an art gallery that is not needed.
Thank you Tillsonburg for your tax dollars so Woodstock Mayor Michael Harding can build a new Art gallery for him and a few of his closest friends. Too bad about that new road you needed, or that water project or the myriad of other important real infrastsucture projects that could have been worked on. Hopefully you’ll all make her down to Woodstock to check out the new gallery digs sometime…if you can find a passable road to get here. I guess your CONservative MP was working real hard for you!

I wonder if our Mayor happened to mention that the Shoppers/Gallery only has a twenty year expected lifespan in his grant application. That's pretty short term to be considered infrastructure.

So, what did Tillsonburg apply for? And were those in the criteria for the grants?

"So, what did Tillsonburg apply for? And were those in the criteria for the grants?"

Good question. Maybe Tillsonburg's problem is that they told the truth.
