CTV Ripped A New Butthole

CTV BUSTED FOR SCREWING STEPHEN DION OVER
CTV Networks have been criticized and chastised by the broadcast standards council for screwing Stephane Dion over during the last election during an ill fated Alantic CTV interview.
The arbiter of broadcasters stated that CTV errored in judgement in its’ airing of several “false starts” with then liberal leader, Stephane Dion who was having great difficulty in understanding the question posed. The network had agreed with Dion not to air those false starts, but then did so afterwards despite the deal made.
The arbiter stated that even a really good english speaking person would not have understood the question and that it was grossly unfair of the network to butcher Dion in their most unethical manner.
CTV has stood accused in the past of meddling in politics and has been accused of being blatantly partisan towards the ruling CONservative party.
Mike Duffy formerly a crappy journalist and now a senatorial slug used the film clip to butcher Dion during his silly tv show, Mike Duffy live.(thank goodness he was sent to the senate…the man had a terrible tv show and he fits in better with being a senator than a journalist.)
After Harper won the election(thanks to Mikes’ help) Mike Duffy was “appointed” to the senate chamber where Canadians will be responsible for feeding his mammoth posterior for the next bunch of years.
One must wonder if the appointment was in direct connection to the handling of the Dion tapes?
Actually, let’s rephrase that one…was Mike was repaid for his favour with a public favour?

Fuck the Broadcast Standards Council. Dion flubbed and foundered because he can’t speak English worth a damn. That was news. CTV or any network has a responsibility to report the news, not some edited, sanitized version of events that suits one political persuasion or the other.

CTV ripped for asking a confusing question – clarified thrice?
Duffy reprimanded by showing the potential leader of our country really really really looking like an idiot?

    Whatever.

Dion did himself in. Dion wanted to sweep his mistakes under the rug so no voter could see his actions.
I’m glad we saw the unvarnished, unpolished, unsanitized politician struggling so poorly.
If Dion wants dress rehearsals and run-throughs for everything he does, he should become an actor.

“The network had agreed with Dion not to air those false starts, but then did so afterwards despite the deal made.”

So uh, you’re saying a journalist lied to a politician? Oh, the shame. Imagine that.

Politicians make their living by lying to journalists and the public but when a journalist lies to a politician it’s some sort of betrayal of trust? Gimmee a break. If anyone deserves to be lied to it’s the professional liars we elect to public office. I’d like to nominate the journalist(s) in question for The Order of Canada.
