Harper Government To Use Tax Dollars To Promote…Themselves

The Harper Conservative government while floundering in the polls has decided to attempt to score an end run on Canadians by using Canadian tax dollars to prop up their failing government in a series of ad campaigns designed to make Canadians think that the Harper government has designed a budget that all Canadians can live with and will flourish under.
A spokesperson for Jim Flaherty(the guy that counts the money)says “the government believes the spending on advertising is appropriate to promote a broad package of measures and support for those affected by the economic recession.”
Hmmm, I think the fools would be better off putting a few extra bucks into EI or CPP or Health care or food banks or anything rather than more senseless, tasteless and wasteful ads that are only designed with the sole intent of making Flaherty look better than he Is.
Chalk one up for another round of bullshit ads from this conservative government.

Think of it as a bailout for the Conservative PR firms. 🙂

I wonder if the ads were made in Canada.

They’ve all been getting ready for the next election ever since the last election. The only day they’re not planning for the next election is on voting day.
