Swine Flue Spreads

ONTARIO SWINE FLU CASES RISE TO 36

Five new cases of Swine Flu were confirmed yesterday in Ontario bringing the total number of persons infected with H1N1(swine Flu) to 36 including one person from Oxford County that had contracted the illness this past weekend. Oxford County has a large portion of migrant Mexican farm workers.
Ontarios’ Public Health officer stated yesterday that he expects further lab tests will reveal more persons who are infected, but he also expects those numbers to subside in the next week or so.
The Canadian totals of infected persons has risen to 165 and Canadian Health officials are saying that it appears the illness has reached its’ plateau in Mexico and as a result they feel the flu will stop spreading.
Two people in the USA have died from the flu at this point.
