Liberals Score A Conservative Policy Wonk

The Liberal Party appears to be gaining some ground in the past few weeks since Michael Ignatieff assumed the leadership mantle of the party after a solid year that was filled with dissappointments for the party under the leadership of Stephane Dion.
Yesterday some smooth deals were made that resulted in the capture of one very high profile member of the PM’s team with the announcment that Kevin Chan, an employee of the Privy Council, directly employeed by Kevin Lynch(the highest bureacrat in the country) had jumped ship to work with Ignatieff in a policy advisor role.
The job starts in three months which allows for a cooling off period. There were government concerns that Chan was privy to sensitive details of the CONservative partys’ plans, hence the 3 month delay.
