Ford Motor Company Expects Auto Sales To Fall 35%

FORD PREDICTS A 35% DROP IN AUTO SALES FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR

North americas’ number 2 auto maker has predicted that US sales will continue to fall and may fall as much as 35% in the coming year when compared to last years sales.
Ford says that it expects US sales of all passenger vehicles to fall to 10.2 million unit sales from 16.2 million units the year prior to 2008. Ford says that for the first time in 20 years, light vehicle sales will outpace truck sales.
The sharpest sales decline according to Ford was in the SUV department. Soaring fuel costs drove the desire for SUV ownership down the drain.
