Motorists Being Warned To Stay Off Local Roads

AREA ROADS CONTINUE TO PRESENT TRANSIT PROBLEMS

The majority of Canada lies under a blanket of snow this morning and in South Western Ontario roads remain virtually uncleared as drivers head off for their morning commute.
London OPP have reported hundreds of vehicles stranded in ditches on rural roads in Oxford and Middlesex counties.
As a result, OPP are asking people to stay off of the roads so that they may be cleared of snow and stranded vehicles.
The heavy snow is expected to continue into the holidays combined with severe cold weather.

This morning at 6:00am, the roads between woodstock and london appeared in better then expected condition. I was surprised that the plows had already plowed many of the country roads at that time.

I agree, I live in ingersoll and had to go to woodstock early this morning and the roads on the outskirts of both towns were way better than even in both city limits(i’m using city liberally when refering to ingersoll lol)
