Just When We Thought It Was Safe To Go Outside…

ENVIRONMENT CANADA ISSUES REALLY CRAPPY WEATHER ALERT
Great, just what we needed..another kick in the groin. I really have gotten to the point where I’m starting to think that perhaps our scientists have gotten everything wrong and that global warming(yeah, the big beaches, the balmy weather, the huge lakes)isn’t such a difficult thing to swallow here in south western Ontario…besides, I’d perfer to grapple with cutting grass than shovel snow.
So here it is, the official Environment Canada Weather Alert…
Woodstock – Tillsonburg – Oxford County3:30 PM EST Thursday 18 December 2008Winter storm warning forWoodstock – Tillsonburg – Oxford County upgraded from winter storm watchPersons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions. Watch for updated statements. Please refer to the latest public forecasts for further details and continue to monitor the situation through your local radio and television stations or Weatheradio.
And remember folks…don’t over exert yourselves, pretend your a senator for a day or some other light typed work, and for gosh sakes, if you do happen to shovel the white fluffy flakes, don’t sit on the toilet after…it’s how Elroy kicked the bucket in 1978.(A former acquaintance)

Be afraid! Panic! Run away! It’s a crisis! It’s a calamity! It’s a WEATHER ALERT! Oh no!

There was a time (before every little thing was hyped to crisis proportions) when the weather report would have simply said, “It’s gonna snow. It’s winter. What did you expect?” 🙂

LOL Where ya been?! They’ve been talking about this thing coming since Tuesday 😉

I’m excited because shovelling snow is the best workout. It’s going to take me hours but what the hell.

No snowflakes here yet (London, ON) and it’s nearly 10 pm. If I don’t wake up to huge amounts of snow I’m going to be so disappointed.
