I Think I’ll Start A New Religion

I THINK I’LL START A NEW RELIGION SO NO ONE CAN ARGUE WITH ME
The prime benefit of religion to me it seems is the ability to argue with people and say stupid shit like….god is immortal…god is the last word…and god is omnipotent, all seeing all knowing and all that and more.
When people argue with you …you can retort by saying…stupid shit like….god is immortal…god is the last word…and god is omnipotent, all seeing all knowing and all that and more.
If someone questions you…you can say….stupid shit like….god is immortal…god is the last word…and god is omnipotent, all seeing all knowing and all that and more.
If you need non profit status you can say…stupid shit like….god is immortal…god is the last word…and god is omnipotent, all seeing all knowing and all that and more.
If you want a break in court you can say…stupid shit like….god is immortal…god is the last word…and god is omnipotent, all seeing all knowing and all that and more.
How does one argue against anyone that claims they have the word of dog…errr god on their side? You can’t. There is no rebuttal for anyone that pulls out the magic wand of god out of their asses.
It’s like going up against someone in a debate that suddenly pulls a knife on you and says you’d best agree or die. The main tenet of all religions is that they are all the final word of dog god allah bob. They all feel that they are the only religion, the only answer, the final word. but none of them have anything that can support their claims…and I am wondering why they have not been sued in court for spreading falsehoods.
I mean, if I started a new religion today that required the brainwashing of all of my followers how far behind me do you think the government would be? And if said newly invented religion forced people to hand over portions of their incomes(tithe)or face the wrath of dog god allah bob, do you think the RCMP would waste any time in trying to track me down for fraud?
Seems to me that a person can do damned near anything or say anything without repercussions as long as it is said or done in the same of allah, dog, god and bob.

Look I am the one who disagreed with you in the previous post as you were targeting certain group.

Now this is a good post. People must not be allowed to commit crime in the name of God. We do not know whose God matters. Respect your beliefs whether atheism or religion and do the same to others.

Remember Rev. Jim Jones who murdered over 900 people in the name of God. Fanatics are bad news everywhere.

Lightning bolts are a Zeus thing. Jehovah is more a plagues of bugs or rivers running with blood kind of guy. Break out the raid and the hip waders. 🙂

“I THINK I’LL START A NEW RELIGION SO NO ONE CAN ARGUE WITH ME”

An ironic title, considering that religious groups are the ones that do the most arguing.

Forcing people to give their money would be illegal. You can’t MAKE people tithe to your church, no matter how much vengeance you promise. That’s not how “God” in any sense of modern religion works. You can suggest that if they don’t tithe they will be punished by your god, but that doesn’t mean they have to.

And no repercussions for what you say if you make it religious? My friend, QUITE the opposite is true, I assure you. Any religious statement made is ALWAYS going to be up for the most scrutiny. The reason for this is, of course, that there is so much debate in religion, even between similar sects (just look at the Baptist church, or for a history lesson, Catholics vs. Anglicans), that any religious claim will be criticized by any and all who disagree even slightly.

Religion is not immune to criticism, it’s riddled with it.

Yeah! We’re talking religion here, not The Government!
