Former Woodstock Man Busted

FORMER WOODSTOCK RESIDENT TURNS HIMSELF INTO INGERSOLL OPP FOLLOWING DUPLEX EXPLOSION

A Woodstock man has been arrested and charged with several counts after turning himself into the OPP folowing a duplex explosion in Ingersoll that resulted in structural damage to the residence.

On October 6, 2008 emergency personell responded to an explosion at a duplex on Skye Street in Ingersoll.
Emergency services attended 259 Skye Street after a neighbour returned home and found a window and a wall damaged. Investigators discovered the window had been partially blown out of the opening and the bottom of one wall was partially blown off the foundation.
Fire Fighters searched the apartment but no one was there. The incident occurred between Sunday evening at 10:00pm to 11:00am Monday morning. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall was contacted and assisted in the investigation.
On Monday the suspect, Steve Lichti formerly of Woodstock turned himself into Ingersoll OPP after calling in advance to notify OPP that he would turn himself in.
He’s been charged with several counts including possesion, and production of a controlled substance(pot oil) and arson.
