Mulroney Admits That Taking Money Was A "Huge Mistake"

MULRONEY “REGRETS’ TAKING MONEY FROM SCHREIBER
Luc Lavoie, the official spokeperson for Brian Mulroney, says that Mulroney has regretted taking money from Schreiber almost since the day he got it and that he had made a ‘collossal mistake”.
It is interesting to see that for many years, Mulroney didn’t seem to mind having received the money from Schrieber, but now that a formal inquiry is under way, he is filled with remorse…or regrets about having received it.
Mulroney paid Schreiber a visit in August 1993 where the first $100,000.00 was handed over to Mulroney in cash. Schreiber had been staying at a rented chateau in the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal while awaiting the completion of renovations on his Montreal home. Mulroney was driven to the meeting by the RCMP.
The government this week decided to keep Schreiber in Canada to testify before a commons committeee which is investigating these payments that were made to Mulroney before and after he left office.
The committee is also examining whether or not the government was correct in paying out $2.1 million in legal and communication costs to Mulroney after the Chretien era Liberals pointed fingers at him over Airbus.

Isn’t there a law that says you have to declare all monies/gifts that are given to you during your time in office?
Why hasn’t this applied to lyin’ Brian?
