An Email Received From Dalton McGuinty Today Regarding Burgess Park

All of us need to continue raising this issue beyond the city of Woodstock level.
This is the only way we might be able to stave off the developement of this regions’ parks and conservation areas.

Thanks for your online message about Burgess Park. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to raise this issue.
Our government stands firm in our commitment to strengthen protection of our environment. We know that strong environmental protection is the foundation of the high quality of life and sustainable economic growth we enjoy in our province. Ontarians deserve to live and work in clean, safe communities — communities in which the environment contributes to our health and quality of life.
As the issue you’ve raised is best addressed by the Honourable Donna Cansfield, Minister of Natural Resources, I’ve asked her to respond to you directly.
Thank you again for writing. Please be assured that my colleagues and I will continue to welcome your input as we keep working with all Ontarians to build on the positive results and major accomplishments we have achieved. Please accept my best wishes.
Dalton McGuinty Premier of Ontario
c: The Honourable Donna Cansfield
